Save Urban Children from Hazardous Job and Assistance for Linking with Academy (SU-CHALA Education Project)

Goal of the Project:
To create awareness among the Adibashi Tripura children working with Tea Garden, reduce detrimental child labor and promote basic education through non-formal education.
Project Objectives:

To promote pre-primary and non-formal education among the Adibashi Tripura children.

Teach the three R’s (reading, writing and arithmetic).

To introduce and teach Tripura language (Kokborok) and Bangla.
Specific Outcome:
It is expected that the Adibashi Tripura children would be able to have the three R’s, complete their primary education, exercise their rights and make advocacy and lobby with different stakeholders. The expected outcomes are as follows:

About 50% children will get non-formal education and get admitted to Class-IV

Establish 2 resource centers for children in four strategic location

About 50 Adibashi Tripura children will receive education through their own language (Kokborok).
