Organization for the Poor Community Advancement (OPCA) is working at 16 unions of Mirsarai for fulfill the rights of persons with disabilities since 1992. There are 4/5 kids is affected within 10,000 persons in Bangladesh. Boy is effect of this behavioral problem 4 times than a girl. 15 person is autism effected within 10000 people and 80% of them is male. In our working experience, we found that more than 200 autism children are living at in Mirsarai Upazila, Chattogram. This count is increasing day by day. There is no complete center for those autistic children at Feni, Ramgarh and north Chattogram that’s why OPCA and Rotary Club of Chattogram Smile took a plan for establish a complete autism center where children with autism will be got chance for a complete rehabilitation process. Ambassador of peace, former successful minister, sub commander of freedom fighter, independence prize achiever, 7 times elected parliamentarian, president of standing committee of housing and public works ministry Engineer Mosharaf Hossain inaugurated the center on 5th July 2019. Mirsarai Autism Centre will run financially and technically by local respected peoples, donors, elected person of local authority and local and foreign donor’s organization.
